NYS Concealed Carry Firearms Safety Training Course

This course will provide the student with the necessary training to safely store, operate, and carry a licensed firearm concealed, consistent with the standards set by the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services and the Division of State Police.

The range portion of this course will be a live-fire using your own firearm.

This class runs for four (4) days, MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. Here’s the typical class schedule:

  • Monday: CLASS; 5:00-10:20pm

  • Tuesday: CLASS; 5:00-10:20pm

  • Wednesday: CLASS; 5:00-10:20pm

  • Thursday: RANGE; 6:00-8:00pm

Please bring the following:

For CLASSROOM days:

  • Pistol permit

  • Driver's license

  • Pen

  • Notebook/Pad

  • NO FIREARMS or AMMUNITION.

For RANGE day:

  • Firearm

  • Holster

  • Magazines (if applicable to your firearm)

  • One hundred (100) rounds of target ammunition (for your specific firearm)

  • Hearing protection (recommend noise-cancelling)

  • Eye protection (prescription eyewear count)

  • NO loose-fitting clothing

  • NO open-toed footwear.
